Take A Trip Back to Lavender & Old Lace
I’ve got quite a bit of catching up to do with this bloggedy-blog, so today I’d like to transport you back in time to our first ever styled shoot, Lavender & Old Lace! Our team was very blessed to have this shoot featured in The Brides Tree magazine as well as on their blog here, which blew my socks off, I can tell you!
What a fantastic team pulled together by experienced shooter Marion of Marion Jonkers Photography and what incredible images! This was our first ever meeting with the exceptionally talented florist Sandi of Willow Bud (who was also a newbie back then!) and I love what she created here for us. I couldn’t neglect to mention the stunning Mango Hill Farm. It’s such a wonderful venue with beautiful vistas to enjoy at every turn including the huge Jacaranda tree pictured below! Each of these vendors feature in our list of Trusted Suppliers for the quality of their work and their wonderful customer service. Working with them on your wedding will be a joy!
Our Old Lace backdrop was created specifically for this shoot from recycled materials. What might look like a bannister rail at first glace is actually repurposed table legs in different styles. We take every care when designing this type of construction to ensure that not only is it beautiful but that it is strong, safe and secure no matter the weather. Wind can be a particularly difficult thing to overcome when planning outdoor ceremonies and we like to ensure that there’s no chance of disaster on your special day! The Old Lace Ceremony Package is now available for hire with our White Mismatched Chairs!
Looking for something interesting to keep guests occupied post-ceremony? Why not have them type you a message? It could be marriage tips, well wishes or something else entirely! We have two fully functional vintage typewriters for hire including the 1952 Remington Super-Riter pictured above.
Getting the little ones into the picture is a lot easier when there are some fun props around. Our Pageboy’s suit is by Suits Direct and Flowergirl’s floral halo by Willow Bud. Try our Eliza Dolittle Chaise for some fun bridal party images!
This versatile gown could be worn as bridesmaid or bride and is available from Marilyn Crystelle Bridal.
Table decor from The Rose Room. Styling by Sandi of Willow Bud. Antique style & Balloon Back chairs are perfect for the bridal table and look absolutely gorgeous used in mismatched style and dressed with lace.
